Monserrate Rodríguez Colón is a nationally recognized civil rights leader, DEI strategist, and visionary entrepreneur with over three decades of transformative public service. As the Founder and CEO of MRC Business & Consulting Services, she brings unparalleled expertise in equity-centered strategy, multicultural engagement, and compliance innovation.

     Her distinguished career includes senior leadership roles across Massachusetts state government, most notably her eight-year tenure as Commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), where she led the state’s premier civil rights enforcement agency. In this role, Monserrate championed systemic reform, strengthened legal protections, and elevated the Commission’s visibility as a national model for equity and justice. Her leadership at MCAD solidified her reputation as a fearless advocate for marginalized communities and a strategic architect of inclusive policy.

     Monserrate’s groundbreaking work has earned national acclaim—from leading one of the country’s most transformative DEI correctional programs, recognized by the National Institute of Corrections, to designing an award-winning procurement system that expanded equity in public contracting.

In 2024, she was named an ALX 100 Honoree and received the prestigious Randolph W. “Bill” Bromery Legacy Award from the University of Massachusetts, celebrating her enduring commitment to justice, representation, and systemic change.
